Game Title: The Pyramid of Uncertainty
Best Environment: Indoors, with a high ceiling and preferably some beams
Equipment Needed: Balloon, rope, custard, water, high jump mats, gym mats, pillows, cushions
Setup Time: 30-45 mins
Game Instructions: Set up a pyramid shaped pile, using the high jump mat and gym mats at the bottom, and cushions and pillows on top. Then fill a balloon with custard and water, and suspend it from the roof using rope (if the room has beams, you can thread the rope through one and control it from the ground) above the pyramid.  Two people, opposing each other, have to race to the balloon from either side of the pyramid, and burst it as fast as they can. The one who bursts it wins.
Number of people involved: 2 per game
Game Time: 15 mins

 
Game Title: I Hate Mornings
Best Environment: Indoors, possibly before service
Equipment Needed: Cheap makeup set, cereal, two bowls and spoons, milk, tarpaulin, two chairs
Setup Time: Approx. 10 minutes
Game Instructions: Invite two pairs of young people to participate at a time. One person from each pair sits on a chair with the other person standing behind them. The person on the chair must have their arms behind their back with their palms facing outwards. Then, their partner puts their arms through the gap made by the person on the chair. The person behind the chair must now help the other eat breakfast – a bowl of cereal – and put on their daily makeup. Once both teams are finished, the winner is determined by popularity with the crowd.
Number of people involved: 4 per game

Game Title: Gauntlet
Best Environment: Indoors
Equipment Needed: Petitions or room dividers, obstacles, pillows and pool noodles.
Setup Time: 30 mins
Game instructions: Obstacle course set up with leaders holding pillows etc, to stop the way through. Can be run as a relay race or a single event.
Number of people involved: 2+
Game Time: 20 mins

 
Game Title: Poos and Wees (just trust us...)
Best Environment: Anywhere
Equipment needed: Fun size snickers bars, apple juice, bowls, protective clothing and protective covering for floor, desk.
Setup time: 10 mins
Game Instructions: Pour apple juice inside a bowl (Wees) and place the Snickers bars in the apple juice (poos). Then challenge the youth, using there mouths only, to attempt to get the mars bars out of the juice. This can be run as a single person event or a relay style race
Number of people involved: 2- 10
Game Time: 5 minutes
 
Game Title: Candid Camera
Best Environment: Outdoors
Equipment needed: Enough cars to transport your youth group, one disposable camera per team and a list of photo opportunities
Setup Time: 1 hour to coordinate cars and cameras and a checklist of photo opportunities
Game Instructions: Organize the youth into teams of 5 including one leader/driver. Each team is given a list of places to go and things to do in different areas of the city. Then, with their camera they must record proof of them performing the required task (For example, behind a fast food store counter, busking, someone next to a sign with their name on it). Each photo is allocated points, and the more difficult tasks are given higher points. At the end of the night, each team gives their camera to their leader. The leaders develop their photos, and the team with the highest points wins. The winner is revealed next week, once the photos have been brought back and compared.
Number of people involved: Whole youth group, 5 per team
Game Time: Approx. 3 hours
 
Game Title: Chocolate Masterpiece
Best environment: Indoors
Equipment needed: Block of chocolate, large sheets of paper and sticky-tape
Setup time: 10 minutes
Game instructions: Tape the paper to a wall or a whiteboard. Select 3 young people to participate and one to stand out the front. Each person gets a chunk of chocolate and is to chew the chocolate until it is soft and gooey, then draw a portrait of the person at the front. After 3 minutes, the crowd gets to judge which picture is the best.

Time: 5 minutes
